Saving Futures -Egypt 2006

Cairo, June 2006

Welcome to this section of the Saving Futures cultural heritage web project.

I went back to Egypt in 2006, as it had been 10 years or so since I had last visited Egypt and the Middle East. I was curious to see what had changed over these last few turbulent years, and what - in a land with such a vast and expansive history - hadn’t.  I didn’t just want to visit the well known places, and so tried to get a glimpse of the quirkier sides of the city.

You can click on each image for a proper sized one, which you can save to your computer. Please email me with any comments, of if you would like more information on anything you find here.

Thank you for taking the time to visit and look around.
